Join other women at a screening of A Girl & A Gun, as part of the Women's Film Festival.
The film will be shown on Sunday, March 16th at the New England Youth Theater at 5 pm. Tickets are $8 for general admission and $7 for students and seniors. We will meet in the theater's lobby at 4:45. For those who are interested, we will reconvene at Mocha Joe's afterward to discuss the film.
"A Girl & A Gun reveals America's diverse and far-ranging female gun community. Reaching beyond Hollywood's hypersexualized femme fatales, the film candidly explores the modern American woman through intimate portraits encompassing issues of protection, power, feminism, and violence. It depicts how this community is portrayed by the media and targeted by the gun industry; and shows, through personal stories, how guns change women's lives."
