Senator Leahy has yet again shown leadership on the issue of gun violence. He has called the Senate hearing: "Violence Against Women Act Next Steps: Protecting Women from Gun Violence," which is being held on Wednesday, July 30th in D.C.

Here in Vermont, 55.6% of domestic violence homicides are carried out with a firearm, so it is critical that we work together to close the loopholes that allow abusers easy access to weapons.
