GunSense Vermont is excited to invite you to an important event addressing gun violence and public safety in our community.
Educational Forum: Gun Violence as a Public Health Crisis
The first part of our program will feature an insightful forum moderated by Dr. Paul Manganiello. We will explore gun violence as a public health crisis and provide detailed information about recent gun laws passed in Vermont, including safe storage requirements, waiting periods, and extreme risk protection orders. Our panel includes Dr. Rebecca Bell and Washington County State's Attorney Michelle Donnelly, who will share their expertise and perspectives on these critical issues.
Call to Action: Launching the Campaign to Ban Assault Weapons
In the second part of the program, we will shift focus to an urgent call to action as GunSense Vermont launches its campaign to ban assault weapons. This segment will feature inspiring speeches from elected officials and dedicated activists who are at the forefront of this fight. Together, we will outline the steps needed to make Vermont safer for all its residents.
