Montpelier man charged with assault after punching a woman and threatening to shoot her with a 20-gauge shotgun.

Ferrisburgh man stopped for expired car registration and arrested after police discovered marijuana and loaded handgun in the car.

Burlington police arrest 4 in a drug raid. Cocaine, cash and a loaded firearm were seized.

9-mm handgun found on lawn of private residence near the South Royalton School; gun's owner was identified as an Upper Valley resident, who reported not knowing why the gun was found there. Police are storing the gun while the matter is investigated.

Bennington man charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for brandishing a shot while 2 men were attempting to repossess his houseguest's car.

Castleton man is charged with shooting his daughter's boyfriend and burying the body in a pile of manure. The man told police the boyfriend was physically abusing his daughter and verbally abusing the family.

10-year-old Cabot boy dies of abdominal wound in apparent accidental shooting.

Duxbury homeowners find stray bullet lodged in the wall of their home. It was determined a rifle round penetrated multiple walls before stopping inside the home.
